Ribbon Dancing with Local Beijingers at the Bell and Drum Towers

In the morning many local Beijingers like to gather between the Drum and Bell Towers to exercise. You’ll often see people playing jianzi, dancing, or even doing Dragon Ribbon Dancing.

I went for a morning walk around this area and saw a group of people doing this ribbon dancing. They were so friendly and invited me to try it. It was such a fun experience to try – you have to be very careful not to get the ribbon tangled in the wind!
