I’ve always been passionate about connecting with the amazing people and places in China. Through my content, I want to show not just how to navigate life here but how to truly enjoy it and thrive. From food and travel to events, fitness, music, nightlife, and beyond, there’s so much vibrancy to share, and it’s been an incredible journey doing just that.
Beijing has been my home since 2018, after moving here from Guangzhou and Hunan province. This city has its own heart and soul, and I’ve seen so many changes over the six years I’ve been here. It’s been transformative—from the dynamic energy of 2018 and 2019 to navigating the challenges of COVID and coming out on the other side.
The pandemic was tough for so many local and international businesses, restaurants, and communities. I hope to continue highlighting and uplifting the incredible people and businesses that make Beijing so special.
Looking at the list of nominees reminded me why I love creating content and sharing my journey. So many of the other winners and nominees are people and businesses I love and connect with here in Beijing! It’s amazing to see this city’s creative community celebrated.
Beijing holds such a special place in my heart. It’s where I met my now-husband and became part of so many inspiring community groups. The impact this city has had on my life is immeasurable, and I hope my work can give back even a small piece of what I’ve gained here.
Huge congratulations to other creators like Alex, who won the Editor’s Choice Award for her amazing work showcasing vegan food in Beijing, and my dear friend Marie, who was nominated as well—a fantastic fitness trainer, yoga teacher, wonderful mom, and all-around powerhouse! There are so many incredible creators in Beijing and across China who spend countless hours researching, filming, editing, and sharing. Their work is so important in connecting people to everything this vibrant city and country have to offer.
