Longqing Gorge: Day Trip from Beijing

Longqing Gorge is a beautiful scenic area located 53 miles northeast of Beijing. With stunning mountains, beautiful blue waters, and an incredible dam, there’s a lot to do and see here!

I took a trip here with CET, a group that organizes trips around China. Longqing Gorge is just two hours outside of Beijing, which makes for a great day trip if you’re looking to get out of the city and enjoy nature.

Hiking

There are several hiking routes around the Gorge, depending on what area you’re in! The hike we did was nearby the bungee jumping point. It was about a 30 minute hike up, and totally worth all the steps for the view!

Boating

There are several attractions to see at the Gorge, so you’ll take a few boat rides to get around to them all. It was so nice to sit and enjoy the views from down on the water!
