In China, there’s a fascinating trend in the wedding industry: themed wedding rooms you can rent. These venues offer couples an all-in-one solution for their big day, providing fully decorated spaces complete with flowers, tables, and decorations. They also come equipped with modern amenities like LED screens, in-house videographers, photographers, and MCs to ensure a seamless event.
As I’m looking for a venue in Beijing, I thought it would be really fun to check out one of these themed wedding companies. Join me in what I can only describe as a magical wonderland of Bride Elysse, a themed wedding extravaganza nestled in east Beijing!

About Bride Elysse
Located in the bustling district of Chaoyang, Bride Elysse offers a one-stop wedding destination that encompasses everything from bridal attire and banquet services to personalized wedding planning and on-site styling. With branches in Beijing, Shanghai, and Nanjing, Bride Elysse has been a trusted choice for thousands of couples nationwide, providing professional services tailored to every aspect of the wedding journey – according to their WeChat platform 😉

I booked an appointment through WeChat, and was curious how it would go. They didn’t tell me prices in advance, but just kept telling me “everything is negotiable.” As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a whimsical sight— a faux white European building and a a fake car, which I imagined is used for capturing wedding photos.
Once inside a lady greeted me asked how many guests we expected, and we told her around 50. She said they had 3 themed rooms that would be suitable for that number of people, and we were off!

Room 1: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
Our first stop takes us into the ethereal realm of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Imagine stepping into a Shakespearean fantasy complete with a suspended horse, creating a fairy tale entrance that sets the stage for a magical celebration of love.

Room 2: Deep Sea
Next, we plunge into the depths of the ocean with the ‘Deep Sea’ theme. Glowing whales and animated ocean scenes adorn the ceiling, immersing guests in an underwater world filled with wonder and awe. Even the hallway between rooms is adorned with captivating decor, ensuring that the enchantment never fades.
Fun fact: This short video I made about this wedding venue site went viral and is my biggest video ever at 5.6 million views on Instagram as of April 13 😂

Room 3: Monet’s Garden
But the wonders don’t stop there. We venture into ‘Monet’s Garden,’ where every corner is a masterpiece waiting to be discovered. From a charming bridge to lush greenery reminiscent of the French countryside, this room is a true work of art that transports guests into the heart of a painting.

Ceremony Halls
They also have ceremony rooms that cater to every couple’s unique style and preferences. You can have a ceremony and exchange vows here, before going to one of the themed rooms for dinner.

Cost of a Themed Wedding Venue in China
Surprisingly, these venues are more affordable than one might expect because they can reuse their setups for multiple weddings, making them an attractive option for couples looking for convenience without sacrificing quality.
Like other China venues, this venue charges a fee based on 10 people per table, with different levels of dinner menus and packages available. We asked for an estimate for 5 tables (50 people) for the lowest dinner package price, which includes the dinner menu below.
She quoted us for two options:
- 6988×5 = 34,940 RMB for dinner + 10,000 for wine, beer, LED screens, other services
- 6988×5 = 34,940 RMB for dinner + 20,000 for wine, beer, LED screens, an MC host, videographer, photographer, makeup, and more.
- So in total, it could be 44,940 RMB ($6,209 USD) or 54,940 RMB ($7591 USD).
Compared to costs in the US for a wedding, it actually is not bad! You also don’t have to worry about decorations and set up which is a bonus.

Themed Wedding Venue in China
So what do you think, too extra and gaudy? Or fun to dive into a theme? We’re not quite sold on it, but it was so much fun to experience!
